Using your existing corporate data, Rulex will build a model which will list the factors resulting in churn in order of importance. In most cases, a combination of factors such as number of calls to customer service or visits to a branch, number of services used and length of time as a customer provide the best information. Rulex will generate business rules which will reduce churn. A business rule could be: “if customer calls customer service more than three times in three months, has been a customer for less than two years and has only one service, the customer will churn”. The recommended action is to contact the customer to discuss any issues and offer an additional service such as a credit card.
As actions are taken, the model can easily be run again in order to determine whether the factors have changed. In this way, the success of the actions can be validated and the process refined. Using machine learning, a form of artificial intelligence, the Rulex model will learn as the model is run and the predictive value of the model will improve.
Other models can be built as well, including rules regarding the potential for upselling the customer with additional products and services.
